The EL-100-3 media converters have an extra small housing with a dimension of 22,5 x 95 x 80 mm. Its features are Auto-Negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX as well as an extended temperature range.

The flat design of the housing offers an extremely high degree of flexibility for all kinds of indoor and outdoor applications. EL-100-3 is suitable wherever there is little space, e.g. in small distribution boxes. In connection with other systems out of the e-light series respectively, individual applications can be realized.

Besides ST and SC, E-2000® is also available. All systems can communicate via two or one fiber with the help of BIDI-technology with SC or ST-port.

The EL-100-3 standard mode is Converter Mode, if all ports work with 100 MBit/s. Otherwise the mode is Cut-Through. Optionally, the device is also available with Store & Forward mode.

Furthermore, the device supports Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP). This function makes the copper side switch off in case of a failure at the fiber optic side and vice versa. Thus, a breakdown at the terminals is signaled as well.
